How do I get involved?

There are a few ways to get involved. You can either reach out through our contact page or contact section on the home page to be added to our mailing list to stay up to date on league happenings and other events. In addition, you can click here to learn about the PUHL registration and schedule.

Do I need to be a skilled player to join?

No, you don't have to be a skilled player to join! We have skaters of all levels and ages (18+) that participate in the league. We do recommend having some experience skating to be safe while on the ice, but having hockey experience is not required. We will help point you in the right direction and give pointers during play. There are also other opportunities outside the league to hone your skating and hockey skills that are listed on the resources page.

What kind of gear is needed to participate in the league?

Helmet, pads (chest/shoulder, elbow, shin guards), gloves, and skates are required to participate. Play It Again sports is a great place to start for used gear at relatively low prices. There are also pro shops at the rinks around the Portland and Vancouver area if you need to get fit for gear and/or want to go all in.

How can I support the PWHL?

PWHL is a Non-Profit organization, 501 (c)(7), organization and would love to have your support in fostering and growing an inclusive environment for hockey in the greater Portland Metro area. If you are interested in supporting us, please email pdxwomenshockey@gmail.com.
